The main focus of the design is the flexible backrest. Experiments with materials result in a leather-based material combination. Interesting in this combination is the resulting stability without losing the flexibility of the leather. In reference to the chair PASSFORM the developed material enable the back to be not fitting tightly but rather offering a quantity of scope. Because of that, the backrest gets a high flexibility, which makes it possible to adapt to the user like a second skin. This quality makes the sitting in different positions a special experience.
